Summer Untrammeled

A week building shelter from scratch. A week running a real business. A week cooking from the garden and hosting a dinner. A week writing something worth binding.

Drop off, breathe, and let them do something real.

A Summer of Adventure

Themed Week Summer Session

Summer at Lily Lake is built for every family ready to give their kids a season worth remembering. Public school families looking for something real during the break. Homeschool families who want out-of-the-house, project-based fun. All of you belong here.

At Lily Lake, summer looks like a child entrepreneur setting up a market booth. A kid sewing a finished piece from scratch. A group of young cooks planning a dinner from the garden and hosting a room full of people. A story getting written, bound, and kept.

We offer weeklong themed-camps with an instructor and an outcome. Kids leave with something they made, learned, or did.

We also offer day passes for those who want to drop in.

We popped into Lily Lake today to explore the Play Cafe with our toddler. The space is incredible; it’s thoughtful, clean, spacious, and fun.I would highly recommend Lily Lake. We’ll definitely be back for play days, lunch, remote work sessions, etc.

So amazing!! The cafe had great options for me, and the kids'facilities were incredible! A climbing wall, slide, ball pit, riding toys, and so much more!!! I can't believe I've missed out on this hidden gem!

Lily Lake went from being a part of our homeschool approach to our extended family. The community being built is rare to find and one that our girls are thriving in. Can't wait to watch it continue to grow!

What Our Community is Saying

What to Expect

Summer at Lily Lake is built on the same foundation as everything we do: childhood untrammeled. Learning happens through doing. Below are the basics.

Curiousity-Driven

Every camp is built around a real discipline with an instructor who cares deeply about it. Kids across a wide age range (5 and up) work through the same theme at their own level. The learning shapes itself around the child.

Real skills, real outcomes

Each week produces something tangible: a product sold at market, a garment sewn, a dinner hosted, a book written and bound, a shelter built. Every camp is designed around what kids can make, do, and take home.

Schedule and add-ons

All camps run Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 3 PM. Aftercare is available for families who need coverage until 5 PM, at an additional $50 per week. Pricing in the next section

Why Lily Lake?

Community

Similar to a traditional homeschool co-op, Lily Lake provides a space for homeschool families to socialize and learn together.

Support

Caregivers who work outside the home and want to homeschool, but need time to do other things kid-free: we are here for you.  Lily Lake is a drop-off program so you can run errands, work, or just sit and do nothing in silence.  Want to stay?  Feel free to join in the fun or bring a laptop and work from the Collective.

Flexibility

Our drop-in model was purposely designated to allow maximum flexibility for our member families.  We recognize that lives are busy and schedules vary, and the last thing  many of us want is one more commitment.

Variety

Based on the needs and interests of our community, we hope to become a comprehensive resource for homeschool families in the area so they aren’t constantly driving children from class to class all over the city.
