In this edition of our newsletter, we're excited to share new opportunities for connection, an enriching highlight on the new frontiers of education, and an overall progress update.
Lily Lake x VELA Education Fund
Lily Lake Homeschool Collective was featured in a short film by VELA Education Fund. This film focused on "New Frontiers in Education" and was shown at the VELA conference in DC. We are excited to continue making a difference in the world of education. You can watch this short film below.
Field Day Fun
Recently, Lily Lake hosted a field day for the Wichita Area Social Homeschoolers group. The participants got to compete in classic field day games including team challenges, relays, and messy games. We had a great time hosting this event. Thank you to all who came out and participated!
We plan to do more events soon, stay on the lookout for those updates!
Pop-Up Play Date Opportunity
Lily Lake Play Cafe will be hosting a toddler play date on Monday, July 22nd, from 9 am to 11 am at the Andover Public Library. This event will be geared toward children ages 5 and under, however, all are welcome.
Children will be engaged in creating their own cars from cardboard boxes to sit in while we watch a short, age-appropriate car-themed cartoon. Other enriching activities will also be offered. This event is free to attend, please join us! We'd love to connect with you and your children. At Lily Lake, we recognize that it takes a village to raise a child, we will continue to offer activities that provide parents with the opportunity to build or expand their villages.

Renovation Updates
After a long season of waiting, our toddler play cafe is finally being remodeled. Recently the interior of the building was demolished to create the wide open space necessary for our play structures. It is truly so exciting to watch our ideas come to life.
We hope to be open by the end of the summer. Our team is ready to serve you, your family, and the community! Our Founding Members Discount is still available at this time. Check out our website for more information regarding our memberships.
