About the event
Lily Lake's National Parks Camp gives kids a full week inside America's greatest conservation story. They'll explore the purpose of National Parks, the promise behind them to protect natural resources and habitats for generations to come, and the role Theodore Roosevelt played in bringing that vision to life. From there, campers trace how parks have shifted over time under the pressures of tourism, politics, and environmental management.
The week's centerpiece project puts that knowledge to work: each camper designs their own National Park, mapping out its biome, native plants and animals, governing policies, and conservation strategies.
National Parks Camp builds the kind of thinking that turns kids into stewards of the natural world.
